Job summary

Prospex Recruitment is seeking a Senior Packaging Repro Artworker in Hull. You will produce production-ready artwork for print and digital channels, ensuring right-first-time quality and brand consistency across locations.

You will lead the artwork production team from brief to delivery, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and drive process improvements while mentoring junior members.

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging artwork production and reprographics.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop and MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of print processes and reprographics.
• Ability to adapt designs to different components/sizes.
• Colour retouching across multiple print disciplines.
• Ability to interpret complex guideline documents.

Responsibilities

Senior Packaging Repro Artworker

Location: Hull (Hybrid - 3 days office, 2 home)

Salary: DOE

Role: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior packaging repro artworker to join a well-established company in Hull.

As a Packaging Repro Artworker, you will produce accurate, high-quality, production-ready artwork, reprographics and colour separations across print and digital channels.

• Producing production-ready artwork files for print and digital channels
• Builds artwork files in adherence with the business’ standard working practices & client’s brand rules
• Ensures Right First Time quality performance is achieved
• Collaborates with multiple functions to service the client
• Creates print trial files and carries out colour retouching/colour correction for all print disciplines
• Owns the brand guidelines; including their creation, amendment and periodical review
• Ensures brand consistency is maintained throughout the full project range across all production locations
• Represents the artwork production team in the planning of projects
• Leads the artist team in the completion of projects from receipt of brief to delivery of data within contractual KPI
• Seeks ways to optimise process to improve quality and delivery
• Leads and supports with production initiatives
• Guides and advises less experienced members of the team
• Delivers customer demonstrations
• Participates in client meetings

Requirements:

• Experience within packaging artwork production and reprographics environments
• Use of software applications used in artwork packaging production such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office
• Detailed understanding of print processes and reprographics application.
• Ability to adapt a design to different components / sizes in keeping with design intent
• Ability to perform colour retouching for multiple print disciplines
• Colour retouching/correction with special colours
• Ability to visually inspect two samples and understand what retouching/corrections are needed to get the closest possible match
• Ability to interpret complex guideline documents
• Communication skills particularly listening, verbal and written
• Ability to build relationships at all levels
• Team working skills
