Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Senior Package Manager for the Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) project in the UK. You will support the Design Engineering team, coordinate with subcontractors and stakeholders, and drive delivery across safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.

The role requires strong leadership, experience on major infrastructure schemes, and familiarity with NEC contracts. You will liaise with the Environmental Manager and provide regular progress updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably on large scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction regulations and best practices.
• Experience with NEC 3 / 4 contracts.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Health, Safety & Wellbeing: Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Programme: Plan self-delivered works and monitor subcontract/3rd party schedules.
• Project Management: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders for timely delivery.
• Quality Assurance: Set quality standards and ensure compliance and reporting.
• Community: Inform stakeholders and the public per the communications plan.
• Environmental Sustainability & Carbon: Ensure compliance with Environmental Management Plan and carbon requirements.
• Reporting: Provide regular progress reports and propose corrective actions.
• Cost Management: Own the budget and control costs.
• Procurement: Produce technical scope for tenders and assess tender returns.
• Design Management: Attend design/RFI meetings and manage changes.
• Handover: Define handover requirements with the Quality Engineer.
• Leadership: Mentor Section/Site Engineers/Sub-Agents.
