Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Intensive Support Team on the Isle of Wight. This permanent, full-time post leads OT interventions across the personal caseload and requires handling highly complex information with sensitivity and professional integrity.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team, supervise colleagues and contribute to governance and service development, located at Sandown with modern NHS

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration and a relevant degree.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and sensory integration knowledge.
• Post-registration specialist training related to learning disabilities is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Take overall responsibility for OT interventions within the personal caseload.
• Assess, interpret and act on highly complex information about diagnosis and functional ability.
• Report to the B7 Occupational Therapist and be accountable to the Team Lead.
• Support delivery of care across the Learning Disability Team.
• Work as part of an inter-disciplinary specialist team and maintain positive relationships.
• Establish professional relationships with service users, family and carers.
• Collaborate with voluntary and statutory agencies for the service user’s benefit.
• Participate in Clinical Governance activities.
• Provide supervision and deputise for the B7 OT when needed.

Diploma or BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy
