Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for OT fleet management to lead regional TVM execution across data center facilities. You will translate vulnerabilities into remediation plans, coordinate vendors, and ensure evidence-backed closure while coaching local engineers.

The role combines deep industrial controls expertise with OT networking, server, and cybersecurity knowledge to strengthen fleet lifecycle, reliability, and security. Travel regionally and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in controls engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, automation, or related field.
• Progressive experience in industrial controls, automation, BMS, SCADA, OT engineering.
• Experience with major industrial platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, ABB, Ignition, AVEVA System Platform, or Schneider Electric.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, BMS/SCADA, HMIs, historians, gateways, and system integration.
• Ability to travel regionally and internationally as required to support site assessments and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Own regional execution of the Controls Engineering TVM program, from assessment through remediation, validation, evidence capture, and closure.
• Assess vulnerabilities, obsolete components, unsupported operating systems, database dependencies, and platform lifecycle risks.
• Develop remediation strategies balancing cybersecurity risk reduction, operational continuity, and change risk.
• Maintain regional remediation roadmaps, risk registers, dependencies, and status reporting; elevate blockers with options.
• Lead platform modernization, patching, upgrade, migration, and validation planning.
