Job summary

NHS Scotland is recruiting a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the REACH Clacks and Stirling Team. You will work within an integrated multidisciplinary service, assessing, diagnosing and treating patients in community settings and homes, with a focus on enabling independence and safe discharge from hospital.

You will supervise and educate junior staff, Therapy Assistant Practitioners and students, and contribute to governance, audit and service development.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Experience in community rehabilitation and hospital discharge planning is desirable.
• Willingness to travel across Clackmannanshire and Stirling HSCP area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, diagnose and plan treatment for a varied caseload.
• Deliver rehabilitation in community settings and patients' homes.
• Provide discharge planning and facilitate timely safe discharge from hospital.
• Support supervision, education and development of junior staff, TAPs and students.
