Job summary

Réalta Technologies is seeking an experienced OT Automation Engineer to support our Medical Device client based in Leeds, UK. The role requires leading automation projects and managing a small team to ensure integration of automation systems with advanced plant systems such as MES and PI.

The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in automation engineering, strong expertise in PLC programming (preferably Allen Bradley), and a robust understanding of IT systems including networking and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of PLC and SCADA programming, with a preference for Allen Bradley.
• Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience managing a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee automation projects from concept to completion.
• Design, program, and maintain PLC and SCADA systems.
• Ensure seamless integration of automation systems with MES and PI.
• Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing equipment for improved efficiency.
• Manage a small team of automation engineers.
