Job summary

Oracle Cloud is seeking a Senior Technical Operations Engineer to operate production environments, including systems and databases, ensuring high availability and performance for mission-critical workloads.

You will guide junior engineers, participate in large-scale incident bridges, and help build new processes for Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure in a government-focused team in Northern Ireland.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux System Administration, Kubernetes, Cloud, Exadata, Networking, Database, Storage, Compute, Virtualization and Troubleshooting.
• Understanding of infrastructure as code tooling.
• Experience participating in or running incident bridges.
• Customer focus, with a passion for delighting customers.
• Experience in cloud technical support, operations, incident management is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all production server hardware and software.
• Provide technical support for complex technical issues including leading problem management cases.
• Coordinate escalated support cases and lead internal resources/third-party vendors to resolution.
• Maintain uptime and reliability of production environments in a Cloud setting.
• Rotate across day and night shifts to provide 24/7 coverage.
