Oracle Database Administrator, UK

Requirement: British Passport holder and willingness to undergo UK Gov Security clearance

Are you a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer or Cloud DevOps expert?

Are you experienced in backup, restore, and recovery?

If so, we are looking for you to join our growing Cloud DevOps team.

Responsibilities include automating, troubleshooting, and improving the Oracle Cloud Service - Oracle Database Autonomous Recovery Service.

Work involves solving complex infrastructure cloud service problems and building automation to prevent recurrence.

Our team manages Oracle Database Autonomous Recovery Service, providing industry-leading data protection services essential for our customers.

This team works across various technologies to ensure seamless operation of Recovery Cloud Services and develops end-to-end automation of management workflows.

This role offers continuous learning and the opportunity to deliver mission-critical services.

Technical expertise required in two or more areas:

• Terraform, Infrastructure as Code
• Oracle Database
• RMAN
• Exadata

Additional desired qualities:

• Prior SRE experience managing production cloud services
• Experience in releasing and maintaining cloud services
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience managing systems or database environments in production
• Proficiency with system languages such as Python, Perl, Unix Shell, or database languages like SQL, PL/SQL

This position requires working on an out-of-hours on-call rota; otherwise, it is a Mon-Fri role.
