Job summary

FPCR in Dorking is seeking a Senior or Principal Landscape Architect to join our expanding team. You will work on strategic and detailed landscape design, masterplanning, LVIA and public realm projects across the UK, collaborating with architects, ecologists and arboriculturists.

You should hold a postgraduate qualification, be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI), and have at least five years' professional experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional landscape experience.
• Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
• Experience in concept and detailed landscape design; masterplanning a plus.
• Experience in LVIA and landscape planning.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Skilled in 2D/3D CAD tools; Vectorworks, Lumion and GIS desirable.
• Creative thinker, collaborative problem-solver, strong communicator.
• Able to supervise junior staff and manage multiple projects.
• UK driving licence for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Support the growth of FPCR with a wide range of projects.
• Contribute to strategic and detailed landscape design and masterplanning.
• Deliver LVIA, landscape planning and public realm design across the UK.
• Collaborate with Architects, Ecologists and Arboriculturists to achieve design excellence.
• Supervise junior staff and coordinate multi-project workloads.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiasticSenior or Principal Landscape Architectto join our expanding team in Dorking. We are seeking talented individuals to help support the continued growth of the practice, working on a wide variety of projects involving strategic and detailed landscape design and implementation, masterplanning, landscape and visual impact assessment and public realm design across the UK.

You will be part of a forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary team of Landscape Architects, working closely with our Architects, Ecologists, and Arboriculturists. Our collaborative and joined-up approach consistently delivers design and environmental excellence for clients across many sectors.

Skills and Experience

• A relevant postgraduate qualification, with 5 or more years professional experience.
• Be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
• Experience of concept design and detailed landscape design. Experience of masterplanning would be advantageous.
• Experience in LVIA and Landscape Planning.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Highly skilled in a range of 2D and 3D CAD software, and a willingness to learn. Vectorworks, LSS, Lumion and GIS experience would be desirable.
• Demonstrate the ability to think creatively to innovate and problem-solve collaboratively.
• A strong communicator with excellent written, verbal and graphic communication skills.
• Ability to supervise more junior staff, where they are supporting you to produce work.
• Ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects and tasks effectively.
• UK driving licence with access to (or willingness to obtain) a private car for site visits.
