About Your Role

We are expanding our Water Quality and Catchment Management team to deliver sustainable solutions in the UK water sector. Your background in Earth Sciences, Water Quality, Geochemistry, or Environmental Chemistry, along with knowledge of UK water regulations and modelling tools, will be essential.

  • Understand UK water protection regulations (WFD, etc.)
  • Knowledge of water quality modelling tools (SAGIS SIMCAT, InfoWorks, ICM, etc.)
  • Experience with infrastructure projects, especially for National Highways; HEWRAT or drainage experience is advantageous
  • Experience in EIA scoping, reviews, and assessments for water/hydrology
  • Data collection, quality checking, and interpretation skills
  • Water quality permitting and assessment review experience
  • Ability to conceptualise water quality problems and utilize datasets for problem-solving

Prior work in consultancy, regulation, or the water sector is desirable. You should be interested in analyzing time series and spatial data, source-pathway-receptor models, and communicating ideas effectively through writing or visualisations. Knowledge of groundwater and surface water interactions, sampling design, and catchment management is beneficial.

The Role Will Include
  • Water quality data analysis, conceptualisation, and visualisation
  • Desk-based investigations and dataset interpretation

  • Technical report and presentation delivery

You will primarily work in the UK, collaborating with global teams. Effective teamwork and independent work are key.

What We Look For
  • Degree in geography, geology, environmental science, civil engineering, or related
  • Higher degree in relevant discipline (river/lake water quality, hydrogeochemistry, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in MS Office and GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS)
  • Effective team collaboration and independent work skills
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills
