Job summary
TTP plc in Melbourn, near Cambridge, is seeking a technically brilliant optical engineering leader to drive breakthrough ophthalmic technologies from concept to commercialisation. You will lead technical workstreams, design imaging and laser systems, and collaborate with physicists, engineers, software teams and clients across medtech and pharma sectors.
Applicants should hold a Master’s degree (or PhD) in a physical science or engineering discipline with hands-on photonics experience, and

- Master’s degree in a physical science or engineering discipline with hands-on practical experience.
- Be proactive and self-starting with a drive to make things happen.
- Be collaborative and emotionally intelligent, able to influence stakeholders and communicate complex ideas clearly.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of optical technologies for ophthalmology and surgical applications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicists, electronics and mechanical engineers, software developers and human factors specialists.
- Identify opportunities and deepen client relationships through technical leadership.
