Job summary

Advanced Technical Recruitment is seeking an Optical Engineer for Oxfordshire to advance fibre optic sensor technology. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team designing, simulating and testing optoelectronic devices from concept to production.

The role requires 3+ years in fibre systems, knowledge of alignment techniques, optical interferometry, and Python. Onsite permanent position with competitive salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

At least 3 years commercial experience in the development of fibre systems and optical sensors.
Good understanding of fibre optic alignment techniques and optical interferometric systems, with working knowledge of Python.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Electronics, Optics or a related field is essential.

Responsibilities

Develop next generation optoelectronics sensors as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Support the development of laser, detector and fibre based optoelectronic devices from requirements through manufacture.
Deliver technically complex projects on time and to budget per company processes.
