University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy General Manager to lead site capacity, patient flow and demand management across the organisation. You will work closely with clinical and divisional teams to support operational objectives, performance standards and service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• First degree or equivalent experience.
• Evidence of CPD.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational management of patient flow, capacity, demand and escalation.
• Coordinate responses to operational pressures including bed management and discharge.
• Support achievement of national and local performance standards.
• Link clinical, operational and corporate teams to ensure decisions are made.
• Provide visible leadership to operational teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in Senior Manager On-Call rota during escalation and incidents.
• Develop and implement operational policies and service improvement programmes.
• Analyze data and performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
• Build relationships with stakeholders including clinicians, partners and commissioners.
• Deputise for the General Manager as required at meetings.
