Senior Technical Operator, Sidcup (Process) - Contract - Permanent

What you become part of:

Sidcup Operations plays a pivotal role within the CCEP network, producing around 50% of the GB SKU portfolio. The site offers a one-stop shop to the GB Market with a range of packages that are single sourced from Sidcup.

Across their 7 manufacturing lines, the site can produce 360,000 cans every hour, 132,000 PET bottles every hour, and 48,000 glass bottles. There are currently around 400 employees across Manufacturing, QESH, Engineering, and Distribution. Working here can lead to excellent career opportunities both in Sidcup and across other GB sites and Pan-European locations.

The ideal candidate:

Would be a highly motivated individual who can work with and technically lead a team to achieve joint goals and targets. An curious, self-developing mindset is essential, and the individual needs to be able to make decisions based upon fact.

What you will do:

• Work on rotating 12-hour shifts on a 7-day pattern, days only.
• Support and direct Operator Technicians and agency staff in your area.
• Ensure machine & equipment efficiency within your work area.
• Develop effective communication & provide flexible support across the operation.
• Apply your knowledge and skills to deal with situations and identify/influence issues to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain machinery safely to ensure output within production performance, quality, yield, and CRS targets.

What we expect from you:

• Strong technical and operational skills.
• Good understanding of monitoring and control systems, with appropriate escalation of performance issues.
• Machine operating, setting, adjustment, and asset care skills.
• Mechanical or electrical qualification, or proven operational experience.
• Dual-skilled, time-served Engineer with electrical/automation preference.
• Engineering NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with ONC or BTEC National Diploma in electrical/mechanical engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing with diagnostic, problem-solving, and maintenance skills.
• Automation and PLC skills (Siemens S7 & TIA, Allen Bradley Control Logix, SLC) are preferred.
• Motion / Process control experience is an advantage.
