Job summary

AMS People Limited is seeking a Senior Operator for a 6-month fixed-term contract to lead production of high-quality aerospace components in a semi-automated environment. The role requires experience in technical production, adherence to SOPs, and rigorous quality and safety documentation.

The successful candidate will operate to production and maintenance schedules, carry out inspections, and cover a double day shift with occasional holiday work. A background in aerospace standards is desirable.

THE ROLE: Senior Operator - 6 month fixed term contract

My client is looking for a senior operator to take a key role in the production of high quality components for the aerospace industry in a semi-automated production environment.

This would suit someone with experience in an engineering or manufacturing production environment who is technically competent, has worked with production equipment, can perform visual and automated quality inspections and maintain documentation.

You will be responsible for ensuring that high standards of health and safety are maintained. You will work a double day shift and occasional holiday cover may be required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience in a technical production environment in the engineering or manufacturing industry.
• Working to standard operating procedures (SOP's) and willing to undertake training.
• Conducting quality inspections, maintaining quality standards and documentation and reporting on quality.
• Following production and maintenance schedules.
• Ensuring high standards of health and safety.

Also desirable would be:

• Experience of working to aerospace standards.
• Engineering background.
• First Aid and Fire Marshal training.
