Diageo's Talisker Distillery on the Isle of Skye is seeking a Senior Operator to oversee whisky production, optimise processes and drive safety and quality across the site.

You will work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced 24/7 operation, with training and development provided. The role offers a competitive benefits package including pension, a shares scheme and a bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

  • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.

  • NVQ Level 2 Food & Drink, Brewing or Distilling advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and optimise whisky production processes to maximise performance.
  • Champion site safety standards and housekeeping practices.
  • Collaborate with Senior Operators and Engineers to resolve issues and improve ways of working.
  • Maintain accurate production records through automated and manual systems.
  • Perform quality checks and support compliance across the production process.
  • Carry out autonomous maintenance including inspection and lubrication of equipment.
  • Respond to operational issues and support performance delivery across key metrics.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll oversee site production activities, optimise processes, solve operational challenges, and help drive continuous improvement. Where required operators could be asked to cover rotas during their rostered days off.
