Bolt is hiring a Senior Operations Specialist to own marketplace performance across UK city markets within the Rides domain, and to line manage a small team of Operations Specialists. This is a hands-on, commercially driven role with ownership of key city and marketplace challenges.

You’ll set analytical and operational standards, decide where the team spends its time, and ensure interventions move supply, demand and marketplace health.

About The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Operations Specialist to own marketplace performance across a group of UK city markets within the Rides domain, and to line manage a small team of Operations Specialists. This is a hands on, commercially driven role that combines personal ownership of the most complex city and marketplace problems with responsibility for the performance, development and output of the people around you.

You’ll set the analytical and operational standard for your cities, decide where the team spends its time, and make sure the interventions that ship actually move supply, demand and marketplace health. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Growth, Marketing, Product and Public Policy, you’ll shape and deliver city level strategy across pricing, incentives, supply engagement and operational initiatives.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Own marketplace performance across a portfolio of UK cities, delivering against GMV, rides, pricing and overall marketplace-health targets.
• Lead and develop a small team of Operations Specialists through clear objectives, regular 1:1s, direct feedback, performance reviews and development plans.
• Prioritise and allocate work based on commercial impact, while maintaining a high bar for analytical quality, judgement and pace of execution.
• Lead complex city‑level analysis, using data, models, dashboards and structured hypotheses to diagnose issues across supply, demand, pricing and conversion.
• Turn insights into measurable operational actions, leading initiatives across pricing, incentives, driver engagement, and supply‑and‑demand balancing.
• Own weekly performance reviews and senior stakeholder updates; track results, market and competitor developments, improve team processes and support hiring and onboarding as the team grows.

About You

• Proven experience in operations, strategy, analytics or commercial roles, ideally within a marketplace, mobility or tech environment.
• Previous people‑management or coaching experience, with the ability to set clear expectations, give direct feedback and develop others.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with confidence using data to diagnose performance issues and make commercially sound decisions.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, alongside experience with BI tools such as Looker, Power BI or similar.
• Solid commercial acumen and understanding of marketplace dynamics, including supply, demand, pricing, conversion and unit economics.
• Clear, influential communicator who is highly ownership‑driven, able to turn complex analysis into practical recommendations and lead execution in a fast‑paced environment.
