Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Senior Operations Resource Planning Manager to lead the planning of crews and resources at Head Office. You will shape long-term and short-term staffing plans, partnering with senior leaders, Trade Union representatives, and offshore teams to optimise efficiency and cost.

You will drive data-driven decisions using advanced Excel and BI tools, oversee budgets, and mentor 10–20 staff within a ~130-person operations planning department, with opportunities to extend into

Qualifications

• Operational background in a large, complex operation.
• Proven forecasting, budgeting and planning experience.
• Strong data skills, with Excel, and experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau (bonus).
• Experience leading onshore and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the plan - produce robust, operationally viable resource plans from forecast through delivery.
• Lead monthly manpower forecasts, flag risks and opportunities.
• Roster production aligned with operation needs and compliant with agreements; include offshore teams.
• Act as Resource Business Partner to line areas and collaborate with Trade Union colleagues.
