Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in the UK is seeking an Operations Process Engineer to lead the delivery of Process Engineering requirements across large or multiple projects at Westlakes. You will ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with project objectives.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will use Lean tools to improve efficiency, develop and implement KPI-driven strategies, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet challenging safety

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industry, with at least 3 years as Senior Engineer.
• 5+ years in nuclear or highly regulated sectors.
• Manufacturing management experience >10 years.
• Knowledge of standards and regulations (e.g., Pressure Equipment Regulations, COMAH, COSHH, DSEAR).
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead improvements using Lean tools to deliver sustainable changes.
• Develop strategy to drive operational excellence with KPI alignment.
• Ensure projects align to business goals and deliverables.
• Use KPIs to drive efficiency improvements.
• Develop programs and 3–5 year tactical plans.
• Manage short-term delivery plans and schedules.
• Forecast needs and ensure a steady work pipeline.
• Manage MPS recovery plans and reporting.
• Engage stakeholders across the program.
