Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Senior Operations Manager, Europe leading and providing strategic management to KEF Commercial operations teams and enhance our ways of working and operational processes in the Europe region.

This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing Europe supply chain, including regional sales forecast consolidation, managing 3PL relationships and domestic shipping arrangements. With a track record of driving efficiency and promoting a positive organisational culture, you will be committed to embedding strong employee engagement and sustainable work practices aligned to organisational goals.

This role is predominantly office-based, and there is some European travel when required, but this is not often and very manageable.

Responsibilities
  • Directly manage Operations staff employee lifecycle from recruitment and retention; performance, professional development, employee engagement etc.
  • Work closely with the EU Regional Sales Office (RSO) managers to ensure timely and effective operational support of their strategic growth plans.
  • Manage the Maidstone site infrastructure to ensure a safe, productive and efficient workplace is maintained.
  • Drive (cost) efficiencies across Europe for a lean and simplified operational set up, whilst maintaining agreed customer service levels.
  • Ensure KEF Dealer accounts are administered in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Ensure KEF Europe Operations teams maintain constructive working relationships with core functions in HQ, including Logistics, Service, IT and F&A.
  • Manage various KEF Europe business activities & processes in support of commercial operations.
  • Manage all operations-related vendor relationships (Logistics, Service, IT).
  • Continued improvement in Sales & inventory planning (together with F&A and GM Europe) to drive inventory/cash flow improvements across Europe.
  • Ensure the department operates in compliance with all relevant external agencies’ regulatory and legal requirements as well as the company’s internal governance guidelines.
KPI’s:
  • EU Operations KPI’s: Inventory, Customer Support, Service, Logistics, Overhead costs.
  • Business KPI’s Europe: Europe Sales, margin & EBIT.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience working in a Senior Operations management role or similar, including strategic planning and operations management.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of business functions and principles/practices e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • A high-performing leader, experienced in implementing transformational change within a complex environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to finding workable solutions.
  • Experienced at data analysis and performance/operation metrics with the ability to communicate this effectively at diverse levels in the business (from team level to senior leadership level).
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in using operational management software and tools; familiarity with project management methodologies is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of working in a European or international context preferred.
  • Cultural awareness.
