£43,350 per annum Plus Pension, BUPA Medical Cash Plan, Life Assurance, 22 Days’ Holiday + BH(rising with service)
40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team and help us to continue to do things the right way for customers, colleagues and the planet.
As a Senior Operations Manager based in our Southampton depot, you will be a fundamental part of our team, enabling us to continue with our mission to serve the planet, a purpose we care strongly about and are committed to.
This is the role that’s on offer for the right person:
• Ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of depot operations.
• Ensure effective routing and management of operational resources to ensure they remain legally compliant and in a good state of repair.
• Deliver a safe service in line with agreed customer expectations.
• Establish and maintain an engaged and skilled driving and operations team.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed by drivers and damage or defects are reported.
• Support in induction training, training evaluations, and refresher training as required.
• Ensure working time checks, DQC, and government licence checks are carried out.
• Complete all paperwork and IT systems for your work and that of the drivers.

As you can imagine, you’ll need a broad range of personal skills to succeed, but we don’t expect you to have everything from the start! We will coach, train, and support you; it’s more important that you have the right interpersonal skills and the intelligence to grasp our business and take us forward.
We will be looking for:
• Transport Management CPC
• An IOSH Managing Safely certification or the willingness to quickly acquire this.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in working in a transport or logistics role.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Experienced line manager
• A team player with a 'can do' attitude with the ability to get stuck in
