A dynamic and rapidly growing commodity trading organisation are offering the opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Operational Risk Analyst to join their Risk team. As the organisation continues to expand, they require an experienced risk professional to enhance their risk culture, drive best practices, and support the organisation’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and embed operational risk management frameworks, policies, and processes across the organisation.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide expert guidance to stakeholders on risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation strategies.
• Act as a subject matter expert to improve risk awareness and capability within the business, delivering training and coaching where necessary.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on operational risk exposures, incidents, and trends to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with business units to strengthen risk controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Lead or support investigations into operational risk events and incidents, ensuring lessons learned are effectively communicated and implemented.
• Continuously improve risk reporting and monitoring processes to drive proactive risk management.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in risk, compliance, or internal audit roles within a relevant industry such as commodities, shipping, etc.
• Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive a strong risk culture across an organisation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams.
• A proactive and strategic mindset, with a keen eye for identifying emerging risks and improvement opportunities.

This is a hybrid role 3 days into the London office with a salary of £95k (which is flexible for the right candidate). The wider package includes bonus, pension, life cover and more.
