Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is recruiting for a Senior Operational Leader to support the DWP's Counter Fraud and Compliance Directorate in leading a large, geographically dispersed team of Higher Executive Officers. You will set strategic priorities, oversee performance, and drive continuous improvement across customer service and quality metrics.

You will travel as required, shape policy-driven decisions, engage senior stakeholders, and model collaborative, flexible leadership to deliver

Responsibilities

• Lead a large, potentially geographically diverse team of HEOs, setting strategic priorities and driving performance.
• Make sound, complex decisions quickly and instill technical knowledge in the team.
• Oversee business change, drive performance reviews and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with senior representatives from other government departments and external bodies.
• Provide visible, effective leadership through site visits and clear communication.
• Motivate teams to operate flexibly and personalise services for customers.
• Encourage creative thinking and collaborative working to drive innovation and service improvements.
• Ensure compliance with DWP policies and manage risk exposure.
• Carry out decision-maker role on sensitive staff-related issues.
