Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking an Operational Delivery Centre Senior Leader in Barking to lead the IRIS team within DWP, driving delivery of critical fraud and error initiatives to protect public funds.

As a Senior Executive Officer, you will motivate a large network of around 15,000 operational colleagues, shape priorities and resource plans, and ensure products reach the right teams at the right time.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and inspire your team to deliver IRIS objectives.
• Build capability and create an inclusive environment to empower colleagues.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, influencing direction to tackle fraud and error.
• Forecast, coordinate and plan delivery of products and services to operational teams.
• Prioritise and work at pace to lead delivery of tactical solutions to risks.
• Be a proactive member of the Senior Leadership Team across the department.
• Explain complex issues clearly with strong verbal and written communication.
• Participate in wider senior leader forums and stay accessible to staff.
• Demonstrate commitment to self-development and development of others.
