Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Senior OpenShift Platform Operations Lead to own the operational performance, resilience and security of its OpenShift estate. You will shape strategy, set standards and drive best practice across multiple platform environments.

Based in the UK and working in a hybrid model, you will influence technical direction, lead complex incidents and mentor teams to raise operational maturity while delivering reliable services to millions of customers.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience operating large-scale OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms in production.
• Proven track record leading platform operations and incident management.
• Experience implementing RBAC, certificates, secrets management and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational outcomes across the OpenShift platform estate, ensuring security, resilience and support.
• Define and embed runbooks, governance for incidents, changes, access controls and lifecycle activities.
• Provide leadership during major incidents and drive RCA and long-term improvements.
• Oversee platform upgrades, patching and lifecycle management with risk and security alignment.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, SRE and Security to ensure capability readiness.
