Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Gloucester seeks an OpenCPI Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy software-defined radio systems for defence programmes. You will build and test OpenCPI components and OSPs, collaborate with Delivery Managers, and optimize RF applications in a multi-skilled team.

You will leverage AI tooling and hybrid cloud environments while working in an Agile setting to meet mission requirements and deliver high-impact solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with OpenCPI framework, developing OSPs, components, applications and tests.
• Proficient in RF communications and SDR architectures.
• Solid knowledge of DSP, algorithms, payload development, and embedded design.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python; VHDL/Verilog for embedded work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate SDR systems using the OpenCPI framework.
• Design and integrate RF communication systems in cross-functional teams.
• Engage in test-driven development and validate software using OpenCPI.
• Optimize performance of OpenCPI-based systems across hardware platforms.
• Explore AI tooling and hybrid cloud compute to enhance delivery.
• Collaborate with peers and leads following Agile practices.
