Job summary

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse in Oncology for a permanent, full-time position. The role offers a salary up to £51,000 per annum and a 37.5-hour work week, with weekend work included.

You will be registered with NMC and bring mentoring and multi-specialty surgical experience to the team. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will lead by example, mentor junior colleagues, and ensure outstanding patient care with autonomy and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC) and relevant qualifications and experience.
• Knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures.
• Ideally, teaching and assessment qualifications plus management experience.

• Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
• Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient's needs

• Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training

As a Senior Staff Nurse at our Guildford Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital provides high-quality healthcare working with leading Consultants to offer a range of services and treatments for preventing, diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical conditions and offer a wide range of complex surgery and services. Our care is matron led and we are proud to have received a "good" rating from the health care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Our facilities include 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, acute dependency and oncology units. We've been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care.
