Boehringer Ingelheim in Winnersh, UK invites a Senior Real World Evidence Lead (Oncology) to steer the design and delivery of observational studies that support healthcare decision‑making and market access across the UK and Ireland.

You will lead complex oncology RWE projects, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, manage external partners, and ensure timely, high‑quality outputs from concept to publication. This onsite role requires 2 days per week on site.

Qualifications

• Degree in mathematics, statistics or related field plus MSc/PhD in Epidemiology or related field.
• Strong expertise in epidemiology, real‑world evidence methods and study design.
• Proven experience delivering epidemiological studies from proposal to publication.
• Experience leading operational delivery of observational/non‑interventional studies.
• Experience collaborating with investigators, NHS sites or healthcare providers.
• Knowledge of ethics submissions, vendor oversight and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of complex real‑world evidence and epidemiological studies for UK, Ireland and global needs.
• Translate evidence gaps into research questions and robust study designs.
• Lead oncology non‑interventional studies aligned with stakeholder needs.
• Apply oncology research knowledge to post‑approval healthcare questions.
• Provide scientific and operational leadership across the full study lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to align evidence priorities.
• Manage external partners including CROs and data partners to meet quality and timelines.
• Communicate findings to scientific, clinical, policy and executive audiences.
