Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Real World Evidence Lead (Cardio Renal Metabolic) to design and deliver a major evidence-generation programme across the UK and Ireland, with global collaboration. The role focuses on patient-reported outcomes, surveys and decentralised study approaches, combining scientific rigour with practical delivery.

Fixed-term 12 months with a minimum of 2 days on site at Winnersh Head Office.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading real-world evidence projects.
• Strong expertise in epidemiology, real-world evidence methods and study design.
• Experience delivering epidemiological studies from proposal to publication.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience and oversight of CROs or partners.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex real-world evidence studies across UK & Ireland and global needs.
• Identify evidence gaps and translate into clear research questions and study designs.
• Lead a large cardio-renal-metabolic study on patient experiences and outcomes.
• Oversee patient-reported outcomes, surveys and decentralised study approaches.
• Provide scientific and operational leadership across the full lifecycle of studies.
• Collaborate with Medical, Market Access, and Corporate Epidemiology teams to align priorities.
• Manage external partners (CROs, data partners) to meet quality, timelines and budgets.
• Communicate findings to diverse audiences and disseminate via abstracts, posters, papers.
