Qualifications
Essential criteria
- BTEc in Pharmaceutical Science and/or NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 3
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Desirable criteria- National/Regional accreditation in Medicines Management, Accuracy Checking or Patient Counselling
ExperienceEssential criteria- Post qualification hospital or community experience or equivalent
- Basic understanding of pharmacology and therapeutics
Desirable criteria- Experience in use of Wellsky (JAC), Sunrise, Aria and KOMS Computer Systems.
- Hospital sterile production experience
SkillsEssential criteria- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload and refer problems as necessary
- Effective customer service skills - able to work to meet the needs of customers of the department
Desirable criteria- Good word processing and IT skills
- Good time management skills
