Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in London/Sutton is seeking a highly motivated senior staff nurse or an experienced Band 6 to lead and manage a busy Day Care unit. You will oversee shifts, provide patient-centred oncology care and drive service improvements in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Registered nursing professional with active NMC registration.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and learning.
• RMH Certificate in Intravenous Drug Administration or the ability to obtain within three months of appointment.
• Specialist oncology/chemotherapy qualification or equivalent.
• Diploma or Degree level study or equivalent.
• Recognised teaching qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nursing care for oncology patients as planned with shift co-ordinator.
• Demonstrate understanding of cancer treatments and patient needs across modalities.
• Assist in managing a shift under supervision of Ward/Departmental Sister/Charge Nurse and Senior Staff Nurses.
