The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated senior staff nurse (Band 6) to lead and manage a busy Day Care unit in Sutton/Chelsea. You will provide patient-focused cancer care, lead shifts and contribute to service improvement in a supportive environment.

Qualificações

• NMC registration and ongoing professional development required.
• Certificate in Intravenous Drug Administration or willingness to obtain within three months.
• Qualification in oncology or related speciality expected.
• Diploma or Degree level study (or equivalent).
• Recognised teaching qualification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out nursing care drawn up with the shift co-ordinator.
• Demonstrate understanding of needs of cancer patients and different treatments.
• Develop understanding of managing a shift with guidance from senior staff.
• Lead and manage a busy day care unit and support service improvement.
• Complete first level assessments and document care plans from admission to discharge/transfer.
• Set goals for identified nursing problems and plan care.
• Document progress and alert senior staff of changing health care needs.
