Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor for a 12-month contract based on site four days per week. You will join the Housing Operations team supporting a large construction programme for a council. Chartered status with RICS and leadership in contract administration are essential.

Role covers pre-contract, construction, and project close activities, including cost estimation, risk management, procurement, and robust financial reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Chartered with RICS or equivalent required.
• Experience as Employers Agent/Contract Administrator and QS.
• Leadership experience and senior reporting capability.
• Strong track record with JCT contracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare early cost estimates and cost plans for refurbishments and maintenance.
• Monitor design development and update estimates at key stages.
• Assist procurement and tender documentation; tailor contract particulars.
• Manage tender process, interviews and funding recommendations.
• Lead project commercial staff and contract administration across works.
• Provide monthly financial reporting and present updates to stakeholders.
• Chair meetings and produce minutes; ensure close-out documentation.
