Job summary

Warfel Construction is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site activities in Delaware. The role oversees all phases of construction, ensuring projects meet budget, schedule, and quality standards while adhering to Warfel safety rules.

Expect regular daytime hours with occasional overtime and travel requirements. The position requires a minimum of 10 years’ supervisory experience on commercial projects and a solid construction background.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ supervisory experience on commercial construction projects.
• Must have construction background and training.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets project plans and specifications and analyzes construction methods and scheduling for details and sequences of work.
• Promotes a culture of jobsite safety and demands safe work practices from everyone onsite.
• Empowers employees with a culture of safety as top priority and conducts weekly Toolbox Talks.
• Maintains detailed Daily Logs for work occurring onsite.
• Creates 3-week lookahead schedules weekly and assists project management with schedule updates.
• Coordinates with Directors, Foreman, and Project Manager to ensure manpower and supplies are onsite on time.
• Supervises subcontractors to ensure work meets drawings, specifications, and Warfel quality standards.
• Reviews shop drawings and field measurements for design requirement compliance.
• Purchases miscellaneous jobsite materials and reports deviations to Project Manager.
• Meets with client representatives to discuss project status and coordinates with project management for schedule/cost implications.
