Job summary

Advance TRS is partnering with a leading engineering consultancy to appoint an experienced Advanced OHL Engineer for their growing Overhead Line team. The role covers major electricity transmission and distribution projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction.

You will lead technical delivery, design steel lattice towers and foundations, models in PLS-CADD/PLS-TOWER, and ensure designs meet standards, budget and programme while coordinating with clients and

Qualifications

Typically 5+ years' post-graduate experience in OHL design.
Experience delivering OHL projects in electricity transmission or distribution.
Working knowledge of BS EN 50341 and ENA/ENATS standards.
Experience mentoring engineers/design teams is advantageous.
Desirable membership: MICE, MIStructE or MIET.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical delivery of OHL design projects from feasibility through to detailed design.
Design and specify steel overhead line structures, foundations, conductors and conductor systems.
Develop and review conceptual, preliminary and detailed OHL designs.
Produce engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
Develop and verify PLS-CADD and PLS-TOWER models.
Coordinate multidisciplinary design interfaces (civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical, survey, access and construction).
