Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. seeks an experienced SOV SeniorWind Turbine Technician for offshore maintenance leadership on Sofia. You will guide technicians, enforce safety, and coordinate RAMS, permits and tooling for 24/7 rotations.

You will diagnose faults across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and control systems, using OEM SCADA and supporting continuous improvement in self-perform maintenance strategies. Offshore medicals and height training are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in offshore wind, power generation or similar maintenance.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical/mechanical engineering.
• Strong health, safety and quality knowledge.
• Experience coordinating technical activities or supervising maintenance teams.
• Technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and control systems.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational IT systems.
• Ability to meet offshore medical, safety training and height requirements.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with procedures; review RAMS, Toolbox Talks and permits.
• Supervise maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and retrofit activities; monitor progress and prepare work packages.
• Act as primary technical contact for offshore technicians, guiding maintenance and troubleshooting; diagnose faults across systems; use SCADA for remote intervention.
• Liaise with engineering to identify recurring faults and support retrofit implementation; contribute to self-perform maintenance strategy.
• Ensure maintenance records and parts consumption are accurate; monitor quality and reduce defects and downtime.
• Coordinate with suppliers to secure equipment, tooling and materials; support performance reviews and standardised practices.
• Provide daily supervision and technical support to offshore technicians; support development and competence progression.
• Promote accountability, teamwork and effective shift handovers across offshore/onshore teams.
