Job summary

Ofgem, Britain’s energy regulator, is seeking a Manager, Offshore Cost Analyst to bring insightful, independent cost analysis to major onshore and offshore electricity transmission projects. You’ll lead cost valuations, analyse submissions, and present findings to senior stakeholders, working in a hybrid model with a strong emphasis on value for consumers and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to assimilate, analyse and simplify a wide variety of information quickly and effectively.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, able to present analysis to stakeholders clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint and ability to translate technical details for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost valuations for infrastructure projects such as interconnectors and transmission assets.
• Perform detailed analysis of submissions to determine economic and efficient costs.
• Present and defend analysis to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency.
• Oversee and update internal cost models and analyses, coordinating with team members.
• Be flexible and contribute to the division's workload to achieve deliverables.
