Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a substantive band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic therapy team in Norwich. We welcome either a Senior Occupational Therapist or a Band 5 ready to progress to Band 6, with opportunities to lead on patient-centred care and contribute to service development.

• Ability to supervise qualified and unqualified staff.
• Experience handling diverse caseloads across surgery or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide a flexible and comprehensive service to a designated area.
• Independently carry out specialised assessment and appropriate intervention for patients with complex needs.
• Assess risks relating to the discharge process to ensure timely discharge.
• Provide advice and information to patients and carers including equipment training.
• Carry out day-to-day supervision of staff.
