Job summary
Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a substantive Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the surgery team. You will work as an autonomous practitioner with complex cases across surgical wards and potentially community settings, under supervision from the OT clinical specialist in surgery.
The role offers professional development, regular supervision, and opportunities to broaden skills across multiple surgical specialties.
Qualifications
- BSc OT and HCPC registration are essential.
- MSc OT preferred or achievable for progression.
- Experience in multidisciplinary team (MDT) working in acute settings.
- Specialist clinical knowledge for acute surgical OT care.
- Commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of professional practice per RCOT Code of Ethics.
- Be responsible for own work and patient management as autonomous practitioner.
- Conduct specialised assessments for patients with complex needs.
- Prioritise own caseload and manage discharge planning.
- Provide supervision to junior staff and students.
