Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking a health and safety professional based in Scotland to provide proactive occupational health and safety guidance across our onshore projects. Reporting to the Regional Health and Safety Manager, you will work with stakeholders to manage risk and ensure CDM and SHW compliance.

The role focuses on developing safe working practices, incident reporting, and continuous improvement, with travel to SSEN sites and site-based safety activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate qualification in Occupational Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma).
• IOSH membership preferred.
• Experience in safety and risk management.
• Knowledge of SHW and CDM Regulations.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive risk mitigation and promote practical occupational safety understanding.
• Advise on SHW and CDM compliance for Transmission Onshore projects.
• Assist CDM roles to ensure Safe Systems of Work across SSEN Transmission sites.
• Support incident reporting and health and safety performance monitoring.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and stakeholder training.
