Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Occupational Health Manager based at Bedford Hospital. The role leads the Occupational Health Service across the Trust, delivering high-quality, confidential health support to staff and managers.

You will manage referrals, health screenings, immunisation, health surveillance and workplace health programmes, while ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice. Travel between Trust sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Recognised OH Specialist nurse qualification or equivalent.
• Recognised Health & Safety qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day delivery and development of the Bedford Hospital Occupational Health Service.
• Provide specialist clinical advice and support to managers and employees across the Trust.
• Develop and supervise colleagues, support workforce planning, and contribute to policy development, audit and accreditation.
• Ensure pre-employment health screening and vaccination programmes are delivered.
• Travel between Trust sites when required.
