Job summary

Dex is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to design and implement observability infrastructure for real-time trading systems. You will work with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry, building deployment tooling to ensure safe, reliable releases across a federated engineering environment.

You will own fault-tolerant, high-availability platforms, proactively mitigating operational risks and collaborating across teams to strengthen platform safety under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience building observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience with distributed and real-time systems engineering.
• Production-level Kubernetes and container orchestration experience.
• Strong debugging skills under pressure.
• CI/CD and deployment automation experience for high-stakes environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement observability infrastructure for complex real-time trading systems.
• Engineer deployment tooling and CI/CD pipelines for safe, reliable releases across a federated environment.
• Build and maintain fault-tolerant, high-availability platforms supporting live financial research.
• Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks beyond reactive incident response.
• Collaborate across multiple engineering teams to define runtime boundaries and strengthen platform safety.
