Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in high-risk obstetrics to join Musgrove Park Hospital. The post provides a broad obstetric and gynaecological role with dedicated time to develop high-risk services, including a dedicated multiple pregnancy antenatal clinic.

The successful candidate will lead clinical governance, contribute to elective and emergency obstetrics, and participate in teaching, audits and on-call duties in

Qualifications

• Eligible to practice as Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist.
• Special interest in high-risk obstetrics and multiple pregnancy.
• Able to lead and teach in a busy tertiary obstetric department.

Responsibilities

• Lead and establish the multiple pregnancy antenatal clinic.
• Contribute to elective and emergency obstetrics and gynaecology services.
• Participate in on-call rota (1:12) and ward rounds.
• Lead in clinical governance, audits and service development.
• Engage in teaching, research and quality improvement initiatives.
