Job summary

Busy Bees Queen of Hearts in Kettering is looking for a dedicated Senior Nursery Room Leader to join our Ofsted-rated Good nursery. You will lead multiple rooms, plan and deliver education, mentor Room Leaders, and oversee wellbeing and safeguarding to support every child's development.

You will work with a passionate team, implement the Bee Curious curriculum, and foster strong parent partnerships while ensuring health and safety compliance and inclusive practice across the centre.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure educational strategies are consistent across rooms.
• Lead planning and delivery of activities, adapting curriculum for children.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting teamwork.
• Oversee wellbeing and safeguarding of children and adapt for additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents and update on development.
• Ensure health, safety, and safeguarding compliance across the centre.

What to Expect as a Senior Nursery Room Leader:

• Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children, making necessary adaptations to support children with additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding protocols across the centre.

Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
