Job summary

ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd are assisting a well-established nursery in Haddenham, Oxfordshire, to recruit an experienced Nursery Manager. You will oversee day-to-day operations, maintain high standards of care, education and safeguarding, and lead a team of around 25 staff in a setting for up to 65 children.

With Level 3 EY qualification or above and strong EYFS knowledge, you will drive continuous improvement, build strong partnerships with families and staff, and ensure safe, nurturing

Qualifications

• Level 3 EY qualification or above – essential.
• Experience as Nursery Manager or senior Early Years leadership.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS framework, safeguarding and child development.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a nursery team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Solid understanding of Ofsted requirements and Early Years best practice.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• DBS on Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the nursery.
• Lead, support and motivate a team of around 25 staff.
• Ensure the nursery provides a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
• Maintain high standards of Early Years practice in line with EYFS.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.
• Support staff development through leadership and performance management.
• Maintain strong relationships with parents and the wider nursery community.
• Oversee planning, observations and children's development.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and ratios.
• Monitor health, safety, hygiene and compliance.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to drive improvement.
• Support recruitment and development of nursery staff.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive nursery culture.
