Job summary

Flow Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a childcare client for a Senior Deputy Nursery Manager. The role focuses on supporting the nursery manager, overseeing EYFS implementation, planning and record-keeping, and maintaining strong partnerships with parents and regulatory bodies.

You will help develop professional staff relations, stay current with childcare policies, and assist with nursery accounts and events. A rewarding opportunity in a bespoke nursery setting.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 equivalent qualification in childcare and education.
• Experience managing a room or team within a nursery setting.
• Current First Aid qualification.
• Solid understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of EYFS, oversee planning and records.
• Promote and facilitate partnerships with parents and carers.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with Local Authority and regulators.
• Stay updated on childcare policies and practices.
• Assist with nursery accounts and management information as needed.
• Support preparation and delivery of staff, planning and parent meetings.

Senior Deputy Nursery Manager Qualifications & Experience

• A childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3
• Previous experience of managing a room or team within a nursery setting
• A formal management qualification is desirable although not essential
• A current First Aid qualification.
• A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Senior Deputy Nursery Manager Key Responsibilities

• To support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage, including overseeing planning and record keeping
• Promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members
• Support with the development of and maintaining highly professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies
• Remain abreast of current developments in childcare and education policies and practices
• Assist the Manager with maintaining accurate accounts for the nursery and produce management information in accordance with company procedures
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of regular staff, planning and parent meetings and other events.
