Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire in Wishaw is seeking a First Level Registered Nurse to lead a defined team delivering high‑standard patient care. You will supervise clinical care and nursing staff, ensuring continuous service delivery around the clock with a Monday–Friday pattern and some weekend work.

You must be a Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration, educated to degree level, and ideally with postgraduate expertise in your specialty to lead safety and quality of care across services.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
• Postgraduate expertise within speciality demonstrating leadership in safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care, and provide direct patient-centred nursing care.
• Delegate clinical work to nursing staff appropriate to skill and grade.
• Ensure a system of clinical and managerial supervision for all staff in the team.
• Provide advice and support to colleagues and agencies in wards and wider community.
