Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, passionate and experienced senior nurse/midwife to lead the Excellence in Care programme across NHS Fife and the Health & Social Care Partnership.

Excellence in Care is a national care assurance programme designed to support the implementation of a Quality Management System by ensuring high quality, safe and effective person-centred care is delivered to the people of Fife. As the Excellence in Care Lead, you will be pivotal to operationalising the Scottish Governments objectives through collaboration with services across Fife to influence and drive quality assurance and promote a culture of learning where the workforce can flourish in their roles. You will be an instrumental member of groups to drive improvement activity and support the creation and implementation of leadership resources that align to Excellence in Care.

You will work with the Scottish Government, National Services Scotland, Healthcare Improvement Scotland, NHS Education for Scotland and the Director of Nursing, Corporate along with the Excellence in Care local and national teams to support the implementation of Excellence in Care. Furthermore, you will provide a key link between the local delivery of the programmes, the NHS Board, and national reporting.

Key components of the role also include.
Leading the implementation and ongoing development of the Leading Excellence in Care Education and Development Framework within NHS Fife and the HSCP.
Utilising data-driven approaches to assess and improve care quality and provide assurance.
Develop and encourage quality improvement initiatives to enhance person centred outcomes and staff experience.
Provide expert guidance, education, coaching and mentorship to teams to support best practices.
Work in partnership with senior leaders, clinicians, and care professionals to embed a culture of continuous improvement and assurance.

This role requires a dynamic, confident nurse leader who can shape nursing and midwifery by utilising excellent leadership, influencing and motivational skills as well as generating new ideas that will support and drive forward the Corporate Nursing Strategy.
