Strong Life Care in Castleford, GB is seeking a Senior Nurse to lead nursing home care on-site. You will deliver compassionate, person-centred nursing, supervise staff on shifts, and collaborate with GPs and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality clinical practice.

The role requires current NMC registration, substantial post-registration experience in a care setting, and strong skills in care planning, medication management, safeguarding, and infection control.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse.
• Significant post-registration experience as a nurse in a senior role, ideally in a nursing home or older peoples care setting.
• Strong knowledge of clinical care for older adults, including long-term conditions, mobility, nutrition, wound care, and medication management.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles, consent, and the Mental Capacity Act.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a caring and respectful approach.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, compassionate, person-centred nursing care to residents.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual care plans.
• Administer medication accurately and maintain records.
• Monitor residents' health, recognise deterioration, and escalate as needed.
• Lead and support care staff on shift, delegating tasks and promoting teamwork.
• Collaborate with GPs and external services for coordinated care.
• Communicate with residents, families and carers, including end-of-life support.
• Maintain confidential clinical documentation and uphold safeguarding, infection prevention and health & safety standards.
