Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead pressure systems compliance and structural integrity across nuclear projects. You will report to the Programme Pressure Compliance Team Leader and ensure regulatory alignment, safety cases and project delivery for assigned scopes.

You will collaborate with project managers, regulators and the supply chain, acting as the technical decision-maker for pressure-related activities and ensuring SQEP status is maintained throughout the project

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Science.
• Chartered status with IMechE preferred, or eligible for chartered status.
• Experience with pressure systems regulation and structural integrity in nuclear.
• Knowledge of RCC-M or ASME codes is desirable.
• Experience in large, regulated projects with regulators and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements for assigned scope.
• Ensure project policies, processes and contracts meet quality for pressure systems and safety cases.
• Make arbitration and technical decisions on pressure systems for the programme.
• Manage pressure system compliance through all project phases with delegated authority.
• Maintain SQEP status to support nuclear baseline requirements.
